Nigella edible flowers have lacy green foliage encircling 2" blooms of white, blue and sometimes pink. Nigella edible flowers are flavourless but have a slightly nutty aftertaste. Use to garnish cakes, centerpeice, cheesecakes, cheesy omelettes, platters, in chilled savory dishes, meat and rice dishes, molecular gastronomy plates, salad, sandwiches. Available from mid July to mid Sept, for 9 weeks. Refrigerates 5 days.
